Thailand is moving towards regulating casinos following a vote in the 500-member house of representatives. Out of 257 lawmakers present, 253 voted to approve a proposal recommending the

legalization of casinos in large entertainment complexes. The plan now heads to the cabinet for final approval. Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin is fully backing the move, emphasizing the potential benefits of attracting foreign investment to Thailand.

Brazil Set to Finalize Betting Regulation by July 2024

The regulation of betting in Brazil is set to be finalized by the end of July. The imsplementation of fixed-odds betting will occur in four stages, with completion expected by July 2024, marking the initial phase of establishing a regulatory framework. Brazil’s Ministry of Finance detailed the process in a new ordinance published in the Official Gazette of the Union, outlining the steps for implementing regulations outlined in Bill 3,626 over the upcoming months. The goal is full implementation by July 2024.
